Property Is Company’s 24th Hotel in the Hawaii Market

Honolulu, Hawaii- December 12, 2012- Aqua Hotels & Resorts will welcome the New Year with the addition of its 24th hotel in the Hawaii market. On January 1, 2013, Aqua will assume management of the Waikiki Joy Hotel, a boutique property in the heart of Waikiki. Located at 320 Lewers Street, the hotel is within walking distance to the area’s best beaches, shops, dining and nightlife. Under the new Aqua management, the Waikiki Joy will undergo a significant renovation in 2013 that will transform it into an urban-centered, stylish boutique hotel.

The Waikiki Joy is a relaxed retreat and a great home base for experiencing the abundant offerings in Waikiki and throughout the island of Oahu. The intimate 91-room boutique hotel currently features an open-air lobby and comfortable guest rooms a nd suites. Room categories include Standard, Superior, Club Suite, Junior Suite and One-Bedroom Executive Suite. Guest rooms have private balconies, in-room jet spas, WiFi access, refrigerators, coffeemakers and some categories include kitchenettes. Complimentary Continental breakfast is available in the lobby area. The hotel also has a fitness center, swimming pool, sauna, Japanese restaurant and karaoke venue.

The Waikiki Joy announcement follows another recent addition to Aqua’s portfolio, the Polynesian Plaza. On December 17, Aqua assumes management of the Polynesian Plaza located at 2131 Kalakaua Ave. The 55-room property is scheduled to undergo complete renovations in the coming year.
