Kahuku Golf Course
One of the older gems of the Honolulu municipal golf course family, the Kahuku golf course is a short 9-hole course opened in 1937. Casual and kid-friendly, this course is a great visit for beginners and fans of the sport that might feel just as comfortable without the bells and whistles of the fancier resort courses. Par for this course is a manageable 35.

This is a short 9-hole course and golf carts are not available for rent and are not permitted on the course. Although there is no pro shop, golf clubs and pull carts are available for rent. There is no restaurant or snack bar, just some snacks available from vending machines. Bring your own food and enjoy the seaside air and the beautiful scenery at the picnic tables. The course is located in Kahuku, approximately forty miles from downtown Honolulu and a seventy-five minute drive from Waikiki.

Visitors without golf IDs (obtainable only by residents of Hawaii) can expect to pay $23 for a twilight/9-hole round. Prices are the same regardless of weekday, weekend or holiday visits. Non-residents may call up to three days in advance for reservations, from 6:30am until closing. The course is open daily from 7am-5pm. The municipal golf courses use an automated reservation system, and can be used by dialing 808.296.2000. The Kahuku Starter’s Office can be reached at 808.293.5842.
