Honolua Bay Beach
While not much of a sand beach, Honolua Bay more than makes up for it with beautiful waters favored by scuba divers, snorkelers and scuba divers. In addition to having calm water protected by the bay, Honolua is contained within the Mokuleia Marine Life Conservation District, and as a marine animal sanctuary, the coral formations that grow in the bay are truly amazing, and teaming with tropical fish and other aquatic animals. Fishing of any kind is prohibited within the limits of the marine conservation district.
Summer brings the best visibility and the amazing wildlife will make you wish you owned a sophisticated underwater camera. The beauty of this area cannot be overstated. You will feel like Jacques Cousteau, exploring the reefs and finding amazing discoveries as you tour the bay. Winter water is murky near the sore, but improves as you go out of the bay towards the outer open ocean. Water conditions can fluctuate depending on the currents and the season, so be careful when swimming or snorkeling.
