
Lanai Dolphin Guide
There are a number of companies who will provide you with a trip to see the beautiful dolphins that frolic off the coast of Lanai.
Lanai Dolphin Adventures operated by Maui Adventure Cruises will serve you a quick breakfast before you board their explorer super raft at Lahaina Harbor on Maui. Leaving the harbor, the boat will proceed to Lanai where you can snorkel with spinner and bottlenose dolphins at two separate dive sites. Lunch is also provided. Tours are available Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays. Check in is at 7am at Slip #11, and the boat departs at 7:30am. Expect a good 4-4.5 hours for this morning and early afternoon adventure. Reservations should be made at least 72 hours in advance of your trip. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted. Admission with online reservations for adults is $87.07 and tickets for children ages 5-12 cost $59.75
The Pacific Whale Foundation also offers a two-site snorkel trip lasting more than six hours, the highlight of which is often the sighting of energetic spinner and bottlenose dolphins. The package includes classes on basic snorkeling maneuvering and procedures, fish identification, and a junior naturalist program for children. Lunch and snacks are also provided. The Molokai & Lanai Wild Dolphin Snorkel eco-adventure can be booked online for additional savings. Admission for adults is $94.95, and $49.95 for children ages 7-12.
