About U.S. Vets

U.S. Vets is the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of services to Military veterans facing challenges in their transition to civilian life. U.S. Vets Hawaii is the only nonprofit organization in Hawai’i that offers housing and comprehensive services to homeless veterans.

 

 
In 2002, U.S. VETS- Barbers Point at Kalaeloa began providing affordable, long-term, supportive housing for veterans. In 2003 it implemented the U.S.VETS signature work re-entry program Veterans in Progress. Barbers Point serves 175 veterans daily.

Mission: The successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development, and comprehensive support.
 

 
Through the Workforce Program, veterans receive support with career development including skills assessments, interviewing skills, office etiquette, application, clothing, resume skills, and job search.
